As a member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, The League of Milwaukee Artists, and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. I have participated in various art fairs in Wisconsin and Illinois. Local shows include the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts, the Elm Grove Art Fair, the Firefly Art Fair of Wauwatosa, the Mount Mary College “Starving Artist” Show, and the Lake Country Art Festival of Delafield. Solo exhibitions include the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee, Gallery 110 North in Plymouth, the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater Union Gallery, and Cedarburg’s Ozaukee Art Center and the Waukesha Civic Theater.
Formerly an illustrator for a nationally syndicated food column, I take particular joy in painting fresh fruits and vegetables as well as the lively atmosphere of open-air markets. Being married to a geography professor, travel abroad has opened up a whole new world of people and places to paint. I have completed a wide variety of Europe prints painted on location. In 2005 I was selected as the Featured “Gallery Artist” for the Channel 10/36 Great TV Auction.
My work has been published in two books: “The Best of Watercolor Flowers” and “The Best of Watercolors 2” by Northport Publishers, Rockport, Maine.
